INTERNET ADVERTISING IN LITHUANIA


The purpose:  to review, what forms of internet advertising exists in Lithuania and to find out its peculiarities.
The goals: to explore the main standard and substandard forms of internet advertising and to note its idiosyncrasies. Furthermore, to find out, what are the most popular manners of demonstrating the advertisements in the internet and what are the ways of its deflection, to analyze few Lithuanian websites and the promotion forms they use, moreover, to review their taxes and to make some conclusions. 

When the new channel of the communication – the internet - appeared, the first internet advertisement appeared as well, and it had a purpose, which essence is ternary: to introduce the products the companies produce and distribute for the consumers, to make the image of the company better and to increase the number of visitors in the websites.
The first advertisement in the internet was associated only with the e-mail, latter it was connected with the promotional headings of the standard size (468×60 pixels). In the process of time, the extent of internet advertising was increasing rapidly, therefore, more interesting and effective forms of advertising emerged, and they are regimented into standard and substandard ones. The most popular form of promotion in Lithuania is – promotional shields of various kinds. The advertisements in the search systems, e-mail or running stripes is very often used as well.
The innovative technology of promotion must be designed for the successful management and accounting of promotion companies, therefore the promotion agencies offer for their clients not only the demonstration of the advertisements in the internet, but more effective introducing it..
